As we all know Xperia Z4 and Z3+ didn't receive the buzz it deserved due to lack of notable changes from the Z3. And with 2k smartphones like the Galaxy S6 and LG G4 taking over the Android smartphone landscape it seems that Sony needed to upgrade the Z4 to compete with the big boys thus the Z4v wasannounced. It's has almost the same specs from the Z3+ and Z4 as it has that highly touted 20.7 MP rear camera, Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB of RAM. What's different here is the Z4v finally withdrew from using the outdated 1080p panel and recharged this beast with a QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 together with a full 3000mAh battery instead of the 2930mAh battery used on the Z4. They also stated that the Z4v is only a tad heavier and fatter than the Z3+ or the Z4 that makes this still a very slim phone. What we know right now is this will only be a US version for the privilege Verizon users. I just hope that Sony will come up with an international version of this as this is the Z4 that we want to see. There's no word about the pricing and availability yet.
